Who still uses the film SLR cameras?

I have noted the action shots are still much better quality than digital and there are some things that don't show up on digital like deep colors of a rainbow or the lengthier required exposures of a moon as it changes at night. Or a flower as it opens. Is there anyone out there that still uses the film SLR? If so, do you also use digital and what kind of digital do you who use film SLR prefer?

I use both digital SLR and film SLR cameras which interchange lenses with each other (Canon 20D and Canon A2E respectively). 20D can do EXTREME shutter exposures, so I think that covers your lengthy exposure requirements. Saturation equivalent somewhat depends on the type of film you used (not all film is created equal, right?) but I wouldn't expect Velvia quality without digital manipulation after shooting the image. (I think the masses think digital manipulation is easier than it really is- personally, I'd rather spend an hour out in the field getting the shot right than spending an hour behind a computer 'fixing it')
Reply:I have used them for over 30 years and do not like digital pictures.....

I had to get a digital Camera Only because some of my customers wanted there pics on digital media......
Reply:I do!!!

I think that using SLR cameras are the best way to capture art.

I use digital for general use, but my SLR is my baby.

Polaroids are the shizz too!
Reply:I have used an analog SLR since 1980 - still have it and wouldn't swap it out for anything.

I have a digital (a little 2.0 mpx that I use when I shoot B%26amp;W on film to have a color reference).
Reply:I still used my trusty Nikons, its the only way to go whenever you need some slides of your artwork for personal files and for jury competitions.
Reply:I like film but I now use digital only for my weddings. ( I have high end digital cameras) I have to be a little more careful when I take the picture but I use a light meter and my pictures are just as nice as film. ( Note:...If someone wants a 30x 40 inch picture I will use film )
