Aed flowered plant is crossed with a white flowered plant. All of the offspring are pink.?

What inheritance pattern is shown.

Next the color of wheat grains shows variability between red and white with multiple phenotypes. What is the inheritance pattern?

The first one is obviously incomplete dominance hence there is mixing of color. Parental phenotypes would resurface in the F2 progenies.

This is a very glaring case of polygenic inheritance. The trait is dependent to several genes. This works in an additive manner. The more you have the genes the more pronounced the trait is.

For example if one has a contributing allele for eye color and the other has two, then the latter would have a darker eye.

2. polygenic inheritance
