Im deployed to iraq. how can i show my girl that i love her with out saying it?
my husband is over there right now. you could send videos of all your buddies saying hey your man loves you! send her pics of you and the guys. where my husband is now, he has some access to more cultural type stuff. you could pick out some stuff as souvenirs to send to her. i really like mt. dew, so my husband sent me one of theirs as a souvenir. you could make a cd of songs that make you think of her, that say what you want to say. and when you write to her, tell her how you are feeling, tell her about your plans for the future. girls like that stuff.
and thanks for your service and sacrifice!
oh, and the best gift of all in my opinion, put together a charm bracelet for her. include charms that symbolize times you spent together. such as a horse for the time you guys went horse back riding together, just as an example. i would love it if my man would think of something like that!
Reply:send her a gift card to the place she likes the most and tell her to get something you can both enjoy when you return.... If you get the hint.....
Reply:My husband is on his third tour so this is easy. Send her sweet, romantic e-mails. Go on line and send her flowers with a love note. Get a video camera, send her footage of you telling her how much you miss her. Man you can do all kinds of things.
Reply:Do you get to shoot with M16. I wanna get my hands on this gun. Hope you'll have lots of fun in Iraq.
Reply:Hi!
First off, THANK YOU for defending our country!!
Ok, now on to your question. Since you have internet access, and don't want to send flowers, have you considered stuffed animals, or jewelry? If you want to go the more personal route, try creating a poem for her, or make her something else (if you're a crafts person that should be easy enough).
To liven "I love you" up, you two could get togather and create a 'code word' that would mean the same thing as that, only to you two (like a private joke or whatever--exclusively the two of you and no one else--it would also help the miles that stand between you not seem so far).
Most people here in the states don't have anything made in Iraq, so just sending her something you know she would like from there would be nice, and she could brag to her friends even.
Well, there's a few ideas for you anyway. My brother just left Q-West less than a month ago, and he had a similar problem (that's where most of these ideas came from!)
Best of luck! (And keep your head down!!!)
Reply:first of all take care out there, remember there are MORE people behind you respecting what you are doing than not...........wife of navy, mum of air force.
As for your girl as a wife who's husband has been away more times than I care to recall, whilst email is GREAT when we 1st met snail mail was one of the only ways of getting in touch, so dont forget just how precious snail mail is.........a letter that she can carry around means a HUGE deal, if you can a little card even better that you have drawn it or got some one to do it for you [if like my hubby you can not draw] and maybe just maybe if you can get an audio of your voice telling her just how much you miss her and look forward to coming home as soon as you can, [i kept an answering machine message for 1 year where I had missed a call and hubby phoned telling me how much he loved and missed me and would play it every night just before I went to sleep] often guys think it is the SIZE of the gift but for my part it is the thought and effort of what went into getting that gift to me that means the most.................
Take care and hurry home
Reply:just pay for random stuff,
theyl get the message.
Reply:Send her personalized M%26amp;Ms . The latest thing. You can go to their website and it's really easy. Even Hershey's is making personalized chocolate bars....That's a definate yummy way of saying it, plus it's cool to have something like that I think
Reply:Now that's a dumb question!
Reply:Send her a condom and tell her you want her to be safe.
Reply:Get her something personalized ..she will treasure it..
Reply:What is something that she really enjoys, send her something that you would have to know her to think of. Favorite movie or book,or something to remind her of something you two have done together.
