How can you be romantic to a man and show him that you love him?

My boyfirend complained that I never do anything nice for him much, I dont think he would like flowers he is not that type of bloke, I cant afford to buy expensive after shave.

Yes I could cook for him that I am planning to do, and I am going to buy some under wear too and not tell him, what else could I do, he said me buying him socks was not a romantic gesture lol. I do try but I think it's harder to buy for men. Any ideas? x

It's not as hard as you think. I think "trying to be romantic" is the most unromantic thing you can do. I also think that "planning romantic things to do" is the most unromantic thing you can do.



The following are examples of things I find romantic:



1. When you say something I was about to say.

2. When we talk to each other and there's a poetry and chemistry in the flow of our words as if our sentences are part of a musical expression.

3. Anytime you look or smell good





The key is to build up a sort of excitement so that there is no choice but to just go all out passionate on one another.



I read what you are planning and it sounds like you are going grocery shopping.



Romance is not a list of things to do. It is a natural expression of one's passionate feelings for another.

Is there something really important to him that you don't like? If so, start engaging in it with him and let him know "if its important to you its important to me"



Send him text while he's at work just to say you miss him, love him, or you can't wait for him to come home so you can do nasty things to him :)



The point is: he doesn't want you to tell him you love him or buy him things. He wants to wake up in the morning and know his baby loves him! All you have to do is show him how you feel.

Reply:put little notes in his lunchbox (or somewhere else he can find them unexpectedly) - send a box of balloons to his workplace, then when he opens it they float to the ceiling - tickets to a football match, picnic wearing nothing but a long coat - but generally, short skirt, little/no top and a condom in your hand will do the trick!

Reply:There are lots of romantic things that you can do for your man that don't require a lot of money that he'll probably love, but the best thing you can do is to shower him with compliments. Tell him that he looks handsome.



You could also get some oil and schedule a long massage for him (obviously you'll be doing all of the rubbing). Play some nice music in the background and light some candles.

Reply:it is not just by giving gifts that you show your man you are a romantic person. gestures mean more to them than material stuffs. Try doing things for him that you don't usually do. Like ask him to have a picnic with you, or just go driving, write him love notes everyday, or sing to him your favorite love songs. Ask him if he want some massage after a hard days work, or help him shave in the morning, serve him breakfast on bed, etc...He will definitely appreciate these gestures more than those pair of socks!
