We're having a pretty small wedding ceremony. I only have a MOH (my friend), my fiance only has a best man, we have no flower girl or ring bearer. My uncle is playing the piano for the ceremony. My fiance's sister will man the guest book, and her fiance along with my brother will show guests to their seats. My fiance and I are paying for the whole wedding ourselves.
We plan on getting gifts for the MOH, best man, my uncle, and something small for our parents. Should we also get something for our siblings and my fiance's sister's fiance? I would assume so, but want to make sure.
Also, should they get boutenniers/corsages or something? I had only planned on having the two bouquets and two bouts and that's it, not even any flower things for our parents (we're trying to keep this kinda small, nothing ornate).
Your thoughts?
Do I get a gift for the people who show guests to their seats at the ceremony or sit at the guest book?
If you aren't getting flowers for your parents, then don't worry about the other people helping out. They don't need corsages or anything.
I would get them a small gift though ~ right now, I am craving chocolate so all I can think of is a small box of Godiva, LOL :) But it doesn't have to be expensive or elaborate ~ just something to let them know you appreciate their help :)
Reply:I got corsages/boutenniers for the people who played small roles like usher/handed out programs/etc.
Since you're not doing a lot of those, maybe instead you could get them a small gift, like a framed picture of their role in the wedding (e.g. your uncle on the piano etc). The trick there is to make sure that someone takes a pic of all those people doing their thing. You could have another little helper that does that since your main photographer will probably be busy during the ceremony taking pics of you and the groom.
