I am married to a wonderful man (nearly 20 yrs) who works hard to provide for us. The problem? He works overseas and is only home every 4 months. He calls 2-3 times a day and we talk as long as we can, he sends me flowers not only for occasions but just to show he loves me. He has also sent other gifts as well "just because". He makes me feel so loved making me miss him all the more. Here is my question, since he is overseas what can I do to show him how much I love and miss him also. I have sent him care packages but have run out of ideas of things to send him.
We have 7 children together and a strong marriage. He will be home for good the end of this year and we can hardly wait. I could just use some suggestions from anyone who might have some.
Any suggestions to show I miss him?
Have you thought about sending him a newspaper with the following on it: "(Husband's Name) Declared World's Best Husband"? You can get one on-line. You get to make up what you want it to read and they send it you. Looks like a real newspaper. Cute. Not expensive. Maybe a care package containing things that are meaningful to the 2 of you (menu of restaurant you went to while dating, DVD of movie you saw while dating, etc...). This one might be corny, but it's still cute......a t-shirt with all the kids' handprints on it. Hope it helps.
Reply:See if you can take a trip to see him- sounds like you have more fun than normal couples- and 7 kids?
Reply:I know you miss me and I am sitting here missing you as well.
I do like sunflower's suggestion so why don't we plan to meet in Thailand?
All my love to you!

Reply:Congratulations! 20 yrs.! Let's see must be a ton of wonderful memories. How 'bout a box with the very best X-mas bow in it, you know the one that has been on nearly eveyones gift, the one you fought to keep and one of your favorite family X-mas pic's. Send 2 birthday candles one burnt and the other not. Tell him you made a wish on yours for him, tell him to light the other and make a wish for you.Buy one of those mini tape recorders-record "your" song or a meldley of songs about him and your love. Send a box w/ one little silver herseys kiss in it. Soon he'll be home for the Hug. Over the years the birthday cards, anniversary cards even the ones the kids have made- did you save them? Gather them all, tie them up in a ribbon and send them again. Send him the most hysterical refridgerator magnet. Just a few months and counting and he'll be HOME!!
Reply:I have no ideas but i just wanted to tell you how nice i thought your little story is!!
