I have a big speech project coming up, and I need some ideas, the speech will be with details, can neone help?

Find three items that tell us about you and place them in a bag. They may be representative of likes or dislikes, things you hold dear, places you’ve been, etc. For example, you could show us a teddy bear, followed by a picture of your parents, followed by a flower. The organizing theme would be items that remind you of home (the teddy bear you slept with, your parents who are still there and a scent that reminds you of your hometown). You cannot bring three similar items to tell us about one thing (e.g., three hair care products to show you like clean hair). I encourage you to be creative in developing a theme. For example, students have used CD’s, posters, and even underwear to show the various stages of their life. You could also bring in three unrelated items such as an old journal, a car key and an engagement ring. Feel free to decorate the bag itself should the mood hit you!

You could choose to put three items in your bag which you associate with particular sensory stimuli - ie, taste - a food item you ate as a child on summer camp/cub scout camp. hearing - a favourite piece of music which holds special memories (also, in playing some of the song, you get to waste some time if you are to speak for a set time period!). touch - a fabric, type of plant leaf etc which you like to have around as a comfort thing. smell - it could be a fabric softener on your favourite jumper, an aftershave or perfume, biscuits cooking whatever (you need not even get this item out of the bag - merely let the audience catch a whiff of it!).

There you go - project sorted - the theme = The Senses.
Reply:Basically, just bring in 3 items that mean a lot to you and tell about them. You will know what to say if you bring the right items. It won't be that difficult. I don't think that the teacher is expecting a lot.
