Promoting a yahoo group, is anyone else interested in what interests me?

I was looking for a yahoo group that has other people who are interested in exhibiting at shows - Flower shows, village shows, Agricultural shows, Horticultural shows, and so on. As i could not find one i decided to create one myself. As far as i understand, the group is listed in yahoo groups. I had tried to use a promote button which i was informed is already on the page of the group for others when/if they visit (but not on my page as i created the group and am already a member).

Should i wait for others to find the group from the yahoo groups list, or should i somehow promote the group elsewhere?

The group is called flowershows

Obviously if more members join to add different points of veiw the group would be interesting and informative for everyone concerned. Although the group is called flowershows it was intended for use by all who exhibit whatever at a show. To grow, or create an exhibit and then to show it is an experience in itself - whatever you exhibit.

You can start promoting it by inviting people you know to join your group. This is how to do that:

1. Click Members in the list on the left side of any page.

2. On the upper right, click Invite People.

3. In the first box, enter the email addresses or Yahoo! IDs of the people you want to invite to your group, one per line. In the second box, write the text of the invitation you want them to see.

4. Click Submit Invite.

5. Preview your invite. If you'd like to edit it, click Edit. If you'd like to send it, click Invite People.

A Member Invite Summary will appear. Under Member Invite Details, it will show if any of those invited does not accept invitations which probably would be the only reason they would not receive the invite.

You may invite up to 50 people at a time to your group.
Reply:Sounds cool. I belong to a daylily club and have been to a flower show.
